Will it fit my guitar?

Simple test: if your Offset left the factory with bridge thimbles - the little metal cups set into the body - and the bridge falls out when you take the strings off, the Tuffset is a straight drop-in with no modification.

The quick test

Thimbles or thumbwheels?

HAS THIMBLES — FITS

Metal cups set into the body. Lift the strings and the bridge comes out with them. Tuffset Original and Fixie both drop straight in - no routing, no drilling. Adjustable 5¾″–22″ radius covers vintage, compound and flat necks. Building a Bass VI or baritone? The Original's WideBoy option or the Fixie's standard slots have you covered.

If your bridge looks like one of the below, both Tuffset models will fit.

HAS THUMBWHEELS — NOT YET

Threaded inserts in the body - the bridge stays put when the strings come off. Most Gibson-style Tune-o-Matic (TOM) bridges and Fender Adjust-o-Matic (AOM) bridges work this way. We don't yet have a Tuffset Bridge to fit. Fix-o-Matic is in development - join the list to hear when it ships.

If your bridge looks like this, a Tuffset to fit your guitar is coming soon.

Boutique or custom-built guitar with Thimbles Probably fits any Tuffset Any thimble will probably fit - send interior diameter and post spacing and we will be happy to confirm
Once it fits

Two philosophies: rocking or fixed.

Original rocks with the vibrato and the saddles grip the string - closest to vintage feel, most stable tuning under heavy bar use.

Fixie locks the post solid and the saddles slide free - maximum physical stability, thicker attack, the better choice with a Bigsby or very sharp break angle that might unsettle a rocking bridge.

Both drop into the same thimbles.
